Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Referrals Coordinator to join our team at LifeLong Medical Care. As a key member of our patient-centered care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring seamless referrals to specialty services.

Responsibilities
  • Process and communicate referral requests from providers, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Verify current insurance information and obtain authorizations for services as needed.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure reimbursement of services.
  • Follow up on all referrals and maintain accurate tracking in our electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with our Health Information Technician to ensure medical report information is received and placed in patient charts.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in a related field preferred.
  • One year of administrative experience in a medical or human services setting.
  • Experience with electronic health records and Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in a related field.
  • Community or public health experience.
  • EPIC experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish/Arabic.
