We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Imaging Intern Tech Assistant – CT to join our team at Halifax Health. As a key member of our Radiology Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide exceptional patient care and ensure that patients are comfortable and informed throughout their imaging experience.
- Patient Scheduling: Assist with patient scheduling and ensure efficient throughput and productivity in assisting nuclear medicine technologists.
- Transportation: Transport patients safely and efficiently to and from imaging procedures.
- Technologist Assistance: Assist registered technologists with general patient care and observation, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Clerical Duties: Answer phones, deliver messages, and maintain patient confidentiality while communicating in a professional manner.
- Room Setup: Prepare imaging rooms prior to procedures and maintain adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
- Records and Documentation: Ensure that patient documentation is accurate and complete, and perform required PACS and office/clerical duties.
- Continuing Education: Attend departmental meetings and participate in developmental/continuing education meetings to maintain and improve skills.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent, and accepted into an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification: BLS/CPR for healthcare provider in adult, child, and pediatrics.
- Skills: Professional communication skills, ability to follow oral/written instructions, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
