Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at hth companies. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing motor vehicle equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair company vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy equipment.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-ups.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems using computer diagnostic equipment and standard checklists.
  • Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, and transmissions.
  • Plan and schedule repairs and maintenance to ensure timely completion.
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation.
  • Submit purchase orders for parts and supplies.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
  • Experience with vacuum trucks or water blasters.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of safety principles and practices.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
