We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will design and implement real-time embedded software for a range of advanced products, including software-defined radios and airborne servers.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in avionics electronics development, with a strong background in software design, coding, debugging, testing, and verification. Proficiency in low-level driver development and real-time embedded applications is also essential.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing real-time embedded software for various avionics products, performing software design, coding, debugging, testing, and verification, documenting software development processes, and supporting certification activities.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will need excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Based on industry standards and location, the estimated salary for this position is around $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement real-time embedded software for various avionics products.
  • Perform software design, coding, debugging, testing, and verification.
  • Document software development processes and support certification activities.
  • Develop low-level drivers and real-time embedded applications as needed.
  • Create customer-facing application software for configuring avionics products.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in avionics electronics development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of real-time embedded software design and development.
  • Proficiency in software design, coding, debugging, and testing.
  • Experience with software verification and documentation.
  • Familiarity with low-level driver development and real-time embedded applications.
  • Ability to develop customer-facing application software.
  • Experience with Software Defined Radio and Audio product development a plus.
  • Expertise with Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, In-Circuit Emulators, J-TAG debuggers a plus.
  • MS Windows Application development experience in C#/Forms/WPF a plus.
  • Experience with Linux a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
