Avionics Software Development Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Stone Alliance Group.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will design and implement real-time embedded software for a range of advanced avionics products, including software-defined radios and airborne servers. As part of this role, you will contribute to the future of aviation technology by developing innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of this position include:
- Designing and implementing real-time embedded software for various avionics products;
- Performing software design, coding, debugging, testing, and verification;
- Documenting software development processes and supporting certification activities;
- Developing low-level drivers and real-time embedded applications as needed; and
- Creating customer-facing application software for configuring avionics products.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
- At least 8 years of experience in avionics electronics development;
- Strong knowledge of real-time embedded software design and development;
- Proficiency in software design, coding, debugging, and testing;
- Experience with software verification and documentation;
- Familiarity with low-level driver development and real-time embedded applications;
- Ability to develop customer-facing application software;
- Experience with Software Defined Radio and Audio product development (an asset); and
- Expertise with Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, In-Circuit Emulators, J-TAG debuggers (an asset).
Prior experience with MS Windows Application development in C#/Forms/WPF and Linux would also be considered an asset. Additionally, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as strong communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for this role.
In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer a competitive salary package estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the future of aviation technology.
