Job Overview

ElevatEd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Preschool Teacher Assistant in our Highland Park Center. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to children of all backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs for assigned classes, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Maintain a warm and respectful attitude toward all children, providing individualized attention and support as needed.
  • Supervise children during activities, both in and out of the classroom, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, providing regular updates on children's progress and needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of educational programs and policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and bending.
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include frequent standing, walking, and bending, as well as the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
