Job Summary

The Senior Product Compliance Engineer is a critical role within Hitachi Global Air Power, responsible for ensuring that our products meet and exceed regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of regulatory requirements for product development, including international standards and directives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of product designs, manufacturing processes, and testing procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards, and implement necessary updates to our compliance procedures.
  • Lead internal audits and investigations to identify and address compliance issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance and stay informed about regulatory developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of product design, manufacturing processes, and testing procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as ASME codes and UL certifications.
  • Experience with project management and leadership.
