Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Technician III to join our team at the County of Fresno (CA). As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to determine the best course of treatment for clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide direct care and support to clients, including medication administration, behavioral interventions, and crisis management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and evidence-based treatments.
Requirements
  • Valid license as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
  • Two years of full-time, paid work experience as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
