Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at the State of California. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing care and support to individuals in our custody.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals in our custody, including administering medications, conducting behavioral observations, and implementing treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
  • Conduct regular behavioral observations and assessments to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive records of individual behavior, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices in psychiatric care and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Psychiatric Technician in California.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a psychiatric or correctional setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions
