POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will deliver and oversee therapy services to clients, which includes assessment, treatment, program development, and execution, along with necessary documentation and communication. Your role will be conducted under the guidance of medical professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  1. Delivering therapy services to clients and initiating referrals as needed in accordance with departmental protocols.
  2. Conducting regular screenings of clients to assess the need for intervention or treatment.

  4. Interpreting and conveying evaluation results to clients, their families, and other team members.
  5. Creating individualized schedules for clients in collaboration with other professionals.

  7. Coordinating treatment plans with clients, their families, and other professionals.
  8. Implementing and managing treatment as specified in the treatment plan.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  2. Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for Registered Physical Therapists.
  3. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
  4. Consistent attendance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires medium physical demands as classified by the Department of Labor. The employee must be capable of exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, equipment, and/or clients. Regular activities include standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching; using hands to manipulate tools and equipment; reaching with hands and arms; balancing; lifting; and performing medium to maximum transfer assists with clients. The employee must possess sufficient visual and auditory acuity to ensure client safety and capability. Work is primarily conducted indoors, in client rooms or therapy clinics. This role is classified as Category 1 under OSHA regulations concerning exposure to bloodborne pathogens, necessitating the use of protective equipment.
