About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics and Instrumentation Technician I to join our team on a night shift basis. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for improving systems and equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting the operation of assigned processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Support the development and establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists for assigned processes
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on assigned processes in a timely manner
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings, and other technical data sheets
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are correctly documented in SAP
  • Partner with process owners to actively improve performance and reliability of process equipment
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the maintenance team by training fellow technicians in areas of expertise and learning new systems
  • Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools to establish root cause analysis and resolve equipment issues
  • Suggest practical changes or improvements to equipment and department work practices
  • Collaborate with responsible engineers and manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent military/industry experience, including a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
  • Minimum one year of relevant work experience
  • Knowledgeable in Process Areas listed above preferred
  • Experience with automated records systems such as SAP/CMMS preferred
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents
  • Ability to use necessary meters, signal generators, Hart/TREX devices, and other electronic diagnostic tools
  • Experience in planning/organizing work, managing execution, checking results, and revising the work plan in accordance with the daily work plan a plus
  • Demonstrates a systematic approach to problem solving and troubleshooting required
  • Supports and actively participates in event response activities for the process required
  • Documents problems and works to bring them rapidly to solution required
