Astera Labs Inc., a leader in purpose-built connectivity solutions for data-centric systems, seeks a skilled professional to support our Hardware Engineering team in delivering world-class products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the operation of electronic laboratories, ensuring efficient management and tracking of prototypes.
  • Execute intricate electronic soldering and rework on complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
  • Oversee the lifecycle of prototypes, guaranteeing timely and effective management.
  • Perform electrical measurements as part of the design validation process, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to collectively run tests and resolve complex technical challenges.

Basic Qualifications/Required Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics or a related field, or equivalent qualification in training and experience; prior technical lab experience is essential.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in rework and assembly of complex PCBA prototypes.
  • Ability to interpret schematics layouts, troubleshoot electronic systems, and perform electrical engineering debugging.
  • Capacity to follow written procedures to complete complex tasks and recommend improvements to boost efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Ability to document and communicate debug-related findings and measurement results.

Preferred Experience

  • Comfortable removing and replacing 0201-size components.
  • Experience with high-speed measurements to enhance product testing.
  • Ability to configure and set up computers and test equipment for seamless operations.
