Astera Labs Hardware Engineering Lab Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Hardware Engineering Lab Engineer to join our team at Astera Labs Inc. in Santa Clara, CA. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the design and development of boards featuring our portfolio of connectivity products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support electronic laboratory operation and ensure efficient management and tracking of prototypes.
  • Execute intricate electronic soldering and rework on complex PCBA prototypes.
  • Perform electrical measurements as part of design validation process.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to collectively run tests and resolve complex technical challenges.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in electronics or similar field, or the equivalent qualification in training and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of rework and assembly of complex PCBA prototypes.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, layouts, troubleshoot electronic systems, and perform EE debugging.
  • Ability to follow written procedures to complete complex tasks and recommend improvements to boost efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate debug related findings and measurement results.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with high-speed measurements to enhance product testing.
  • Ability to configure and set up computers and test equipment for seamless operations.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $190,000, based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
