Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Calibration Technician who will play a vital role in our Westfield Indiana operations. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our calibration processes in accordance with ISO 17025 accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate calibration activities for laboratory testing equipment to ensure compliance with ISO 17025.
  • Manage calibration schedules effectively to prevent any conflicts with testing timelines.
  • Facilitate meetings with external calibration service providers to ensure alignment and quality of service.
  • Physically manage the retrieval and dispatch of equipment for calibration services.
  • Maintain comprehensive tracking spreadsheets for both internal and external calibration activities.
  • Conduct quality checks on final validation documentation provided by vendors.
  • Accurately document and preserve testing data in line with established protocols.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues as they arise.
  • Research and file all non-compliance reports as necessary.
  • Review and authorize calibration quotes and certificates prior to finalization.
  • Track all equipment movements within the laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with external vendors during their onsite calibration activities.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of procedures, techniques, and overall process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a technical or industrial setting.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on mechanical experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks as required.
