The Opportunity

This position works out of our Westfield, IN location in the Structural Heart division.

Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.

As the Equipment Technician II, youâll be responsible for performing functions associated with preventive maintenance, demand maintenance / repairs and calibrations on all process, testing and measurement equipment throughout all of manufacturing operations.,. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

What Youâll Work On

  • Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations which includes QSR and ISO Standards.

  • Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing  and equipment-related issues impacting the manufacturing process.

  • Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.

  • Installs and qualifies equipment in the production area to address business needs such as increase capacity, improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established qualification procedure.

  • Evaluates operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to equipment, tooling or instruments.

  • Certifies manufacturing associates in the production processes.

  • Actively participates in comprehensive development of plans including an outline of duties and project assignments.

  • Demonstrates independence by prioritizing and completing assignments.

  • Solves unusually complex problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.

  • Thorough understanding of product or systems fundamentals in cross functional areas. Recommends/utilizes/interprets advanced numerical and statistical data and/or computer software programs to present documentation and analysis and resolve complex problems.

  • Creates the technical basis, including Records of Invention, patents, product definitions, developments and processes for proprietary positions having potential benefits for the business.

  • Fulfills role as equipment asset administrator for the site to ensure the integrity and successful execution of Calibration and Preventive Maintenance programs.

  • Executes Preventive & Demand Maintenance, Calibration and Equipment Qualification activity as required to maintain manufacturing lines in a validated state.

  • Leads by example and provide technical leadership to help build a high-performing equipment maintenance team.

Shift: This position is for 1st shift and the hours are Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm with potential overtime on Saturday's.

Required Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination.
  • Applies solid knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding fundamentals in a functional area, and working knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Will perform this job in a quality system environment.

The base pay for this position is $16.55 â $33.15 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
