We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for performing ultrasound examinations, preparing technical reports, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes. This role requires strong knowledge of ultrasound principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations according to current accepted practices
  • Prepare technical reports and exam rooms for procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Assist cardiologists and staff physicians with tests
  • Demonstrate expertise in echo sonography skills
  • Supervise students and provide feedback on their performance
  • Identify and mitigate risks to patient safety
  • Comply with infection control and environmental standards

Requirements:

  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification or Cardiology Credentialing International (CCI) certification
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Near-visual acuity and depth perception for examining exposed films
  • Ability to work in environments with electrical and radiant energy hazards
  • Exposure to infectious organisms, agents, and toxic chemicals
