Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist or Tech to join our team at BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX. As a diagnostic expert, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by performing complex laboratory procedures and ensuring accurate test results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and special laboratory procedures, including quality control, preventative maintenance, minor equipment repairs, inventory control, and statistical compilation.
  • Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, laboratory education, new employee training, and proficiency testing when assigned.
  • Display technical expertise necessary to ensure timely and accurate results of laboratory procedures.
  • Ensure specimens are obtained and processed in accordance with laboratory guidelines.
  • Demonstrate proper communication skills to relate pertinent data or information about the patient or laboratory sample to appropriate care providers.
Qualifications
  • Baccalaureate Degree or Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technician, or a chemical, physical, or biological science degree.
  • Previous clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist within a clinical laboratory.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
