Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team at Franklin County Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality health services to students and staff, promoting a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze health data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized health plans to support students with special needs.
  • Provide emergency care and first aid as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to promote health education and wellness.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of student health information.
  • Perform medical procedures as required, including gastrostomy tube feedings and tracheotomy suctioning.
  • Assist in the control of communicable diseases and ensure compliance with state health regulations.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of [state].
  • Experience working in a school setting or with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic life support certification.
