Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Customer Service Manager in overseeing customer service and meter-reading activities, including utility billing services, call center, credit and collections, cash, and field services.
- Oversee metering of residential and business customers, providing professional advice to department and City management on utility customer support and metering issues.
- Implement and coordinate operational needs and changes within Customer Service, working closely with the Information Technology support team and/or on projects that impact Customer Service.
- Serve as a liaison between Customer Service and other PWP sections and city departments, reviewing status of projects assigned to Customer Service and developing mechanisms for monitoring progress and intervention.
- Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, liberal arts, public relations, social science, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field.
- Three years of professional experience in administering or implementing programs in customer service.
