Senior Research Associate in Innovative Therapeutics

Role Summary:
TScan Therapeutics is at the forefront of biotechnology, aiming to transform therapeutic approaches for patients through the identification of groundbreaking T cells and epitopes. We are in search of a seasoned researcher to fill the role of Senior/Principal Research Associate, contributing to the New Technology and Product Development Team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the convergence of biological sciences and engineering, focusing on the advancement of next-generation TCR-T cell products. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in T cell immunology, primary and tumor cell culture, cell-based assays, and flow cytometry, thriving in a dynamic and collaborative startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of innovative TCR-T cell products.
- Engage in research aimed at enhancing the TCR-T cell engineering process.
- Learn, execute, analyze, and present findings from functional assays involving TCR-engineered T cell products (including T cell engineering, flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays, and cytokine secretion).
- Maintain cell lines and manage inventory effectively.
- Document experimental data meticulously in an electronic lab notebook.
- Present findings in both group and company meetings.
Qualifications:
- B.S. with 3-5+ years or M.S. with 0-2+ years of experience in biology, immunology, pharmacology, or a related discipline.
- Preferred proficiency in tissue culture and multi-color flow cytometry, with experience in ELISA and cytotoxicity assays being advantageous.
- Familiarity with T cell immunology, as well as an understanding of cancer biology and molecular biology, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment.
- A genuine enthusiasm for learning new concepts and techniques, actively participating in journal clubs, and adapting to a fast-paced work environment.
