Position Overview:

The Community Manager is pivotal in driving the success of the property by overseeing and coordinating all management activities. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the holistic governance of a multi-family residential community. This role involves managing and guiding team members' daily functions while ensuring that property operations align with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and all relevant laws governing multi-family housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of multi-family property leasing.
  • Manage marketing strategies for the property.
  • Foster positive resident relations.
  • Maximize property revenue streams.
  • Monitor and control property expenditures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all operational reports.
  • Analyze and rectify property financial statements and reports.
  • Supervise and direct the entire property management team.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company HR policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in multi-family property management is required.

Certifications:

  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) is preferred.
  • Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) is preferred.
  • Active participation in apartment associations is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in property management, sales, marketing, and customer service.
  • Strong supervisory skills to effectively lead and evaluate on-site staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and contractors.
  • Mathematical proficiency is necessary.
  • Familiarity with property management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential for completing reports and documentation.
  • Basic understanding of Fair Housing Laws, OSHA Requirements, EEOC Laws, and local ordinances is required.
