The College serves over 7,500 students annually, providing credits that transfer to four-year colleges and universities as well as workforce training leading directly to job placement.

The Director of Admissions will provide vision and creative leadership for the Office of Admissions. This individual will lead planning and implementation of the College strategic recruitment plan, administrative management, professional development, and compliance. The Director will report to the Vice President for Student Affairs to ensure that the institutional strategy for recruitment and admission services align with the mission, vision, values, and strategic direction of the College.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the areas within the Admissions, Recruitment, International, Dual-Enrollment, Veteran Affairs, and other special populations;
  • Determine the rational, justification and selection of electronic solutions and systems to support departmental responsibilities;
  • Manage the departmental budgets for the areas of responsibility;
  • Maintain high standards of customer services and develop a system of staff accountability;
  • Evaluate staff performance according to institutional requirements;
  • Assume a leadership role in the development of the strategic enrollment management plan;
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate all programs including the selection, hiring, training, and supervision of staff; Develop and implement documentation and reporting of recruitment and admissions activities;
  • Work with the Registrar and Director of Institutional Research, analyze and report recruitment and admissions data and identify trends;
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant Vice President and other directors to develop and execute enrollment strategies;
  • Develop, implement, and support an effective orientation program for new students;
  • Plan and coordinate on-campus programs for prospective students and early intervention efforts with middle and high school students;
  • Maintain liaison with national, regional, state, and local organizations promoting educational evaluation and assessment/placement;
  • Represent the college on school district committees and councils as appropriate, and work collaboratively with academic affairs on joint college and school district evaluation and assessment/placement activities;
  • Work closely with various units to plan outreach activities and provide instructional support accommodations for students with special needs as appropriate;
  • Oversee staff hiring, training, professional development, and performance management processes;
  • Serve on committees and cross-functional teams as appropriate;
  • Work with Marketing to create publications and information for distribution to a broad range of student demographics;
  • Keep abreast of national trends by attending workshops, conferences, maintaining appropriate memberships and other professional development opportunities;
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field;
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressively responsible management/supervisory experience in admissions within Higher Education working in an enrollment management leadership role;
  • Seven (7) years of Supervisory Experience;
  • Experience should include significant knowledge of and ability to use student information enrollment software, marketing, and demonstrated knowledge about student outreach and intake processing;
  • Master's Degree in higher education administration, marketing, business, or a closely related field is preferred.
