Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prime Time Group Leader to join our team at Cumberland County Schools. As a Prime Time Group Leader, you will play a critical role in implementing the Prime Time program, working closely with the Site Director to plan, organize, and evaluate program activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Site Director in implementing the Prime Time program, including planning, organizing, and evaluating program activities.
  • Work cooperatively with school personnel to ensure a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children.
  • Teach assigned activities in a well-thought-out and prepared manner, ensuring materials and equipment are ready for each activity.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, peers, school personnel, and Prime Time administrative office staff.
  • Maintain a good rapport with parents, children, and staff, contributing positively to the mission and goals of the Prime Time program.
  • Follow established policies concerning tardiness, absences, annual leave, sick leave, and dress codes.
  • Assist the Site Director in maintaining a clean work area and organizing schedules to work a minimum of one day per week for the morning program.
  • Work cooperatively with the Site Director to plan curriculum for students and possess knowledge of the number of children in the assigned site program at all times.
  • Engage with children continuously, working independently in supervision and teaching of children in assigned groups.
  • Follow all DCDEE rules and regulations, Prime Time policies and regulations, and Cumberland County Schools' policies and employee handbook.
Requirements
  • Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with parents, staff, and community leaders.
  • Must have finger dexterity and be able to physically perform basic life operational functions, including kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion.
  • Must possess auditory acuity at a level to hear telephone conversations, customer questions and concerns, and supervisor-vocalized instructions.
  • Must possess visual acuity to read and analyze iPad screens, documents, and correspondence.
  • Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, have reliable transportation, and be proficient in using an iPad.
Working Conditions

The Prime Time Group Leader will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with children, parents, and staff on a daily basis.
