POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key member of the University Health team, the Dental Technician will provide critical support to our dentists in the treatment and processing of patients.
Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, preparing treatment rooms, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one year of experience as a dental assistant, including oral surgery, is required. Graduation from an accredited dental assistant school is preferred.
To ensure patient safety, the successful candidate must be qualified to perform radiographic procedures. This includes certification as a certified assistant by the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc., or successful completion of the dental radiation health and safety examination administered by the Dental Assisting National Board Inc., or an examination specified by the TSBDE and administered by a licensed Texas dentist.
