Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising construction operations, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications
  • Monitor subcontractor production, schedule, and performance
  • Manage subcontractor daily production reports and complete contractor daily reports and inspections
  • Problem-solve and perform repairs on work-related equipment
  • Assist subcontractors with federal procedures and rules
  • Manage subcontractor base access issues
  • Establish project scheduling for construction activities
  • Develop and maintain CPM schedules
  • Work with stakeholders to understand changes and plan course corrections
  • Hold subcontractors accountable to established schedules
  • Measure and report on projected vs. actual baseline schedule throughout the project's construction
  • Understand and evaluate risk and cost of overtime schedules
  • Review and monitor job costs with Project Managers
  • Manage the labor recap process
  • Review personnel timecards to ensure accuracy and appropriate job charging
  • Ensure correct Davis Bacon job classifications are used
  • Manage purchase orders and comparisons to budgets
Requirements
  • Five (5) years of previous Superintendent experience on federal government projects
  • Ability to travel to various construction sites located in Colorado (50-75% traveling)
  • Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management preferred
  • Skilled in monitoring all onsite construction trades
  • Skilled in monitoring and leading jobsite safety
  • Preferred/required training in OSHA 30, EM385-2-1, USACE CQM certification, and CPR/1st Aid Certification
  • Skilled with troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving
  • Ability to successfully pass and remain in compliance with required background checks from Tribal 1 and any required federal government background checks
  • Individual must be either a citizen of the U.S. or a non-U.S. citizen who has been lawfully admitted for permanent residence as evidenced by a Permanent Resident Card (USCIS I-551)
  • Must pass drug screen and remain in compliance with drug-free workplace policies
  • Valid driver's license
