Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal customers and external business partners
  • Execute company policies and procedures in accomplishing work
  • Embrace a LEAN culture and work environment
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and vision to team members
  • Support Project Manager in staff meetings, month-end reviews, design review meetings, and task force meetings
  • Manage direct reports' performance and mentor them
  • Manage project exit strategy, administer risk management program, and act as chief problem solver on design issues
  • Provide final approval for subcontract agreements, invoices, and change orders
  • Assist Project Manager with fiscal responsibilities, including final approval of monthly projections and PCOs for submittal
  • Responsible for project schedule updates, management, and baseline CPM
  • Review project equipment selection, material delivery schedules, and implement change management
  • Communicate with Project Manager, superintendents, subcontractors, and field leaders to ensure project status and changes are known to all involved parties
  • Support development of team member competencies and skill sets, maintain regular communication with team members, and actively engage with General Superintendent in team support and problem-solving
  • Responsible for job set-up, communication, safety compliance, record-keeping, QC, and project closeout
  • Responsible for completion of daily logs, job start-up checklist, and electronic jobsite paperwork filing
  • Enforce details of subcontract agreements and attachments
  • Responsible for weekly planners for short interval schedules, participate in preconstruction meetings with subcontractors, and chair weekly subcontractor Foreman meetings
  • Walk the jobsite at least once each day to ensure safety, quality, and job progress
  • Manage site, building, and interior layout control, adhere to shop drawings and project documents, and review shop drawings for conformance to contract and field conditions
  • Manage third-party testing and resolution of non-conformance, support and enforce requirements for jobsite safety, and complete reports as required in the Safety Manual
  • Assist supervisor with accident reporting, responsible for full implementation of company safety, risk management, environmental, and stormwater programs, and verify JHAs are utilized on the jobsite
  • Manage material delivery/procurement, verify adherence to SDS program, direct Quality Assurance Program, and responsible for as-built/record drawings and specifications
  • Actively participate in and provide required deliverables for all 5 steps of the pre-planning process, provide constructability reviews for each set of progress drawings, review soils reports, conduct pre-award meetings with all major scopes of work, develop site logistics plan, and assist in development of Stormwater and site-specific safety plans
  • Embrace a lean culture and work environment, mentor and train direct reports, understand details of owner contracts, manage permits and inspections for AHJs, and this position is considered to be a safety-sensitive and requires full adherence to all safety guidelines issued by the company
