BAE Systems is in search of a highly capable and enthusiastic individual to join our professional team as a Security Program Management Officer (SPMO). The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the field engineering team and will be accountable for all facets of program security concerning the Compass Call mission systems and support systems.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks will encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Interpreting and enforcing governmental and corporate security regulations while providing guidance to program staff.
  • Engaging with site leadership and maintaining communication with U.S. Government Program Security Officers and the BAE Systems security team.
  • Offering security support and direction to prime and subcontractors, including the formulation and upkeep of security documentation.
  • Creating and updating program-level security strategies, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Delivering classification guidance to personnel, conducting security education and awareness training, leading security self-assessments and audits, and investigating security breaches.
  • Providing assistance to other security domains within the program, including Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance, and Document Control.
  • Being available to respond to after-hours alarms on a rotational basis.
  • Acting as the primary contact for necessary coordination between various organizations.

Due to the collaborative nature of this role, it will require full-time onsite presence at a BAE Systems facility.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance and the capability to obtain and maintain additional accesses. Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of U.S. Government security standards and have experience applying the ICD-705 requirements. Familiarity with a broad spectrum of security products and applications is essential.

Preferred Skills

In-depth knowledge of DoD SAP Manuals, ICDs, and TEMPEST requirements is advantageous. Experience with DISS and the ability to navigate complex security situations independently are highly valued. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effectively conveying complex information.
