Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Optician to join our team at Sam's Club. As an Optician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and maintaining the sales floor in the Optical area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking merchandise, setting up displays, cleaning, and organizing product displays.
  • Maintain the Sales Floor in Optical area by properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, and arranging merchandise.
  • Receive and stock merchandise in the Optical area, and organize and maintain the area by following company procedures.
  • Operate hardware such as cash registers or related equipment, process member purchases, and assist in payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Sell Optical products and services by assisting members with purchasing decisions, measuring, adjusting, and repairing frames and lenses, and completing eyewear/contact lens orders.

Requirements

To be successful as a Sam's Club Optician, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an optical sales or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
