About the Opportunity

Covenant Physician Partners is seeking a skilled Optical Dispenser to join our team in Santa Ana, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with selecting eyewear, taking facial measurements, and making adjustments to ensure a proper fit.
  • Interview patients to determine their visual needs and interpret refractionist's prescriptions.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on proper eyeglass care and enter prescription and sales information into our computerized system.
  • Verify Optical Benefit coverage and dispense and adjust optical products.
  • Inspect final products for accuracy and reconcile patient concerns to their satisfaction.
  • Perform daily inventory of frames and accessories and conduct necessary shop work, including cutting, edging, dyeing, and mounting of lenses.
  • Repair frames as required and complete all necessary forms.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years' experience as a dispensing optician strongly preferred.
  • Graduate of an opticianry/optician training program or on-the-job training.
  • ABO Certified and licensed preferred.
  • Previous experience with Eligibility and Authorizations preferred.
