Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Protection Officer to join our team at Curio Wellness. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surveillance and Security: Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
  • Alarm Response: Answer alarms and investigate disturbances in a timely and professional manner.
  • Access Control: Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Emergency Response: Contact police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Customer Service: Circulate premises among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.
  • Conflict Resolution: Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate detection devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
  • Security Systems: Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
  • Compliance: Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Delivery Support: Provide protection and assistance during product deliveries, including protection of product, money, and valuables, and assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Route Planning: Chart out appropriate routes for deliveries on the map or GPS.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle inspection, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Driving: Capable of driving, protecting the transport vehicle when delivering product, money, and valuables to prevent theft and ensure safe delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of Local, State or Federal Law Enforcement experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Must have a valid Driver's License with zero points or restrictions, and a Security agency certification, concealed carry permit or LEOSA card.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Ability to operate a conversion van/box safely and legally, and completion of a defensive driving course a plus.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work a weekend schedule and be flexible in work availability and willing to work overtime.
