Job SummaryThis position is located near the Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles, California. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for performing system startup, system troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. You will also perform minor maintenance duties and assist trade technicians in and around airport facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform system startup, system troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
- Perform minor maintenance duties and assist trade technicians in and around airport facilities.
- Respond to and correct issues that may exist within the facility, equipment, or systems.
- Report issues found that could potentially lead to additional system failures.
- Drive and operate different equipment such as golf carts, company vehicles, forklifts, etc.
- Comply with the company safety program and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- 1 year of related experience in general / Facility maintenance work
- Familiarity with Airport operations a plus
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to write, read, and effectively communicate in English
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport
- Ability to work Day or Night shift including weekends and holidays
The work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees will work on an airport ramp around aircrafts and around heavy equipment.
