Requirements

  • Certification: Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card and maintain certification as required by specific unit.
  • Experience: Must meet unit-specific care requirements.
  • Language: Must be able to speak and understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Physical Demands: Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks, with the ability to lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
  • Mental Demands: Must have the ability to work in a stressful environment, concentrating on multiple priority activities, and responding appropriately to life-threatening situations.
