The Patient Service Representative serves as the welcoming presence at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, being the initial point of contact for patients and their families. This role is crucial in establishing a positive atmosphere for patient visits by providing professional and compassionate assistance as patients arrive for their appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service and prioritize patient satisfaction to ensure each interaction is as positive as possible.
- Collaborate effectively with clinical staff and administrative colleagues to foster a cohesive and high-performing team environment.
- Confirm and update patient demographic information upon arrival.
- Manage insurance details, including scanning insurance cards and driver's licenses.
- Input referrals into the system and associate them with the correct case.
- Collect necessary payments, including copayments, coinsurances, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
- Prepare clinics for daily appointments and print relevant documentation.
- Create and maintain accurate records of patient appointments and encounters.
- Ensure timely and precise entry of all documentation.
- Schedule follow-up appointments as required.

Work Environment:
The Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance team is dedicated to creating a positive work atmosphere characterized by collaboration, job satisfaction, and engagement. Patient Service Representatives may work at the front desk of various clinics and may also serve as Greeters, guiding patients to their destinations. The clinics experience a high volume of patients, contributing to a fast-paced environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
