Insurance Account Coordinator Job Description

At MaxWell Medical, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Account Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential to the efficient management of insurance accounts, patient billing, and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and communicate insurance account discrepancies through daily follow-up and detailed documentation.
  • Follow up on claims status via phone and electronic platforms, addressing any issues to ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Conduct patient collections and manage delinquent accounts to support revenue cycle efficiency.
  • Collaborate directly with patients to clarify and resolve billing questions and discrepancies, maintaining a compassionate and service-oriented approach.
  • Accurately document actions taken on accounts, monitor account trends, and regularly report daily statistics to the Directors.
  • Work closely with Insurance Resolution Specialists to keep authorizations current and certifications valid.
  • Identify high-yield accounts, missing payments, and billing trends, ensuring comprehensive account management.
  • Support in the posting of payments, re-billing, corrections, and handling of authorization processes.
  • Provide leads for workshops and patient acquisition to support clinic growth.
