Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Job Description

This role involves collaborating with operations personnel and quality assurance departments to optimize manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include developing strategies to reduce defects, delays, and other missed opportunities; gathering and analyzing data to produce proof-of-concept models for process improvement; maintaining Level II supervisory systems hardware and software components; and ensuring 24/7/365 mission-critical services in manufacturing operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, Manufacturing or Materials Science Engineering with an emphasis on process modeling, control theory, and statistical analysis;
  • 10 years of experience in process optimization, preferably in the steel industry or manufacturing;
  • Strong mathematical background with experience in implementing numerical methods;
  • Adaptive software process models experience and/or training;
  • Familiarity with virtual environments, such as VMware;
  • Understanding of industrial networking and topology;
  • Able to read through complicated algorithms and source code to identify problems or areas for improvement;
  • Knowledge of group problem-solving techniques, such as brainstorming, value stream mapping, and Kaizen events.
