About the Role
We are looking for a Resident Supplier Performance Engineer to join our team in Portland, Oregon. This position involves working with suppliers to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing, preferably in the power generation or nuclear industries.
Responsibilities
As a Resident Supplier Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing on-site and remote supplier oversight, developing and implementing Supplier Oversight Plans, and coordinating activities with various Westinghouse functions. You will also identify and escalate significant supplier issues, drive prompt resolution of issues, and monitor key supplier performance metrics.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, as well as 8 years of progressive experience in engineering or manufacturing. Experience in process capability analysis, qualification, and leading cross-functional projects is highly desired. You will also need to have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including precision machining, welding, and testing. Additionally, experience with nuclear products and standards is a plus.
