Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facilities Technician to join our team at First Tek. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, utilities, and process equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including conduit runs, light and power circuits, motors, control equipment, light fixtures, and panels.
  • Utility System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain utilities, including water, gas, and steam systems, to ensure efficient operation and minimize downtime.
  • Process Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on process equipment, including pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
  • Safety and Security: Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security hazards, and report any issues to management.
  • Contracted Services: Provide recommendations for contracted services and oversee the work of contracted services to ensure compliance with service agreements and work quality.
  • Electrical Systems Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve issues, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with a focus on commercial or industrial settings.
  • Licenses and Certifications: California Electrician's License required; NFPA 70E certification preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, including conduit runs, light and power circuits, motors, control equipment, light fixtures, and panels. Ability to read and interpret documents, schematics, and blueprints. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
