Role Overview
The position entails ensuring customer satisfaction through meticulous inspections of fire protection systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular assessments, testing, maintenance, and installation of fire safety equipment, including various manufacturers' systems.
- Acquire proficiency in completing Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding via digital communication tools, such as laptops and mobile devices.
- Adhere to a strict inspection timetable to maintain service quality.
- Utilize technology to input, retrieve, and store inspection records efficiently.
- Perform minor repairs under authorized supervision as necessary.
- Ensure timely completion of all assigned inspections.
- Carry out additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
3-5 years of documented experience in fire sprinkler systems is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals.
Experience with hand tools is essential.
Familiarity with various systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform necessary repairs.
Physical capability to handle equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
Willingness to work in challenging positions, including heights and confined spaces.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including on-call shifts, nights, and weekends as needed.
Exemplary customer service skills.
Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures consistently.
Strong organizational abilities, a positive demeanor, and a quick learning aptitude.
Certification Requirements
- One of the following certifications is required:
- NICET III Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems
- NFPA Water-Based Inspection, Testing and Maintenance
- ASSE I50I0 Water-Based Protection Systems
- Completion of a DOL approved Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship Program
