Job Title: Sprinkler Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment using prescribed troubleshooting procedures and technical manuals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software, systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet customer requirements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability to participate in our on-call program.
  • Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Must adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NICET III Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems.
  • NFPA Water-Based Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance.
  • ASSE I50I0 Water-Based Protection Systems.
  • Completion of a DOL approved Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship Program.
  • Backflow certification is a plus.
