Job Summary

The California Northern Pretrial Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensive Supervision Specialist to join our team. As an Intensive Supervision Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating and managing criminal defendants who are at high risk of reoffending.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations of defendants' backgrounds, including their criminal history, employment, and education.
  • Develop and implement effective supervision plans to ensure defendants comply with court-ordered conditions.
  • Provide guidance and support to defendants to help them maintain compliance with their release conditions.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to ensure public safety.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of defendants' progress and any issues that arise.

Requirements

  • Three years of specialized experience in probation, pretrial services, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience as a CL-28 pretrial services officer.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

The duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical activity, including prolonged periods of walking and standing. The incumbent must be physically capable and able to handle moderate to arduous physical exertion.
