Position: Senior Medical Scientist, Clinical Research in Endocrinology
Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the design, evaluation, and dissemination of clinical programs that align with our global scientific and medical evidence strategy. Your expertise will facilitate cross-functional and international collaborations, integrating diverse medical, scientific, and commercial insights into our development initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing clinical insights during safety and regulatory discussions.
  • Contributing clinical/scientific expertise throughout the planning and execution of clinical trials.
  • Drafting and reviewing study-related documents, including protocols and concept papers.
  • Analyzing clinical trial data and participating in safety evaluations.
  • Reviewing safety narratives and providing scientific input.
  • Conducting database analyses to support clinical and commercial objectives.
  • Assisting in the preparation of clinical study reports and regulatory submissions.
  • Engaging with regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Developing relationships with key opinion leaders and presenting scientific findings at advisory boards and major scientific conferences.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree with 2 years of experience in obesity, diabetes, or metabolic diseases; or
  • Master's degree with 4 years of experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience; or
  • Associate's degree with 10 years of experience; or
  • High school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Endocrinology, board certification, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of clinical research experience and/or basic science research with clinical teaching and patient care.
  • MD preferred.
  • Experience in obesity, diabetes, or metabolic diseases research.
  • Strong understanding of the scientific method and clinical applications.
  • Familiarity with clinical research concepts and trial design, including biostatistics.
  • Knowledge of regulatory agency guidelines and practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex medical concepts clearly.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with sound judgment.
