Position Overview

The role of the Respiratory Therapist involves the assessment, treatment, and management of patients experiencing respiratory or cardiopulmonary issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver respiratory care services according to physician directives and established protocols.
  • Engage in the formulation and execution of patient care strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as accepted clinical practices.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members through effective communication.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC and current CPR certification.
  • A minimum of 18 months of experience in respiratory care is preferred, particularly in critical care environments.
