The Production Supervisor is a key member of our team, responsible for leading and guiding employees in a safe and efficient direction. This role assists the Plant Manager with all building and production duties, ensuring that areas in Production and the Plant are running smoothly and meeting quantity and quality goals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the remanufacturing process of washers and dryers, ensuring high-quality output and efficient production.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to establish certified rebuilt standards for all equipment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Assist the Production Manager in establishing and maintaining equipment production goals, driving continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Maintain a quality control program to ensure proper operation of all remanufactured equipment, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
- Monitor employee schedules, job assignments, and workstation scheduling to meet the demand of all new and rebuilt equipment orders, optimizing production workflows.
- Assist all workstations with assembly line exceptions and/or problematic machines, providing technical support and guidance.
- Promote good teamwork and a positive work environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
- Communicate job expectations, provide coaching, training, and counseling to all production employees, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Hold biweekly team meetings to discuss company policies, procedures, and any operational challenges, driving workable solutions and continuous improvement.
- Maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers, promoting the company's core values and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Promote a continuous improvement culture, reviewing production procedures and recommending measures to improve working conditions, work station processes, and the use of all tools and/or equipment.
- Review and appraise employee performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support growth and development.
- Review and enforce all company safety policies with employees, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write reports and correspondence, communicating effectively with employees and external stakeholders.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or with customers, promoting the company's vision and values.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to solve practical problems and assess a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
