Position Overview

The Youth Adoption Support Specialist role at Allies for Every Child is designed for a compassionate individual who will facilitate connections between youth in need of stable homes and prospective adoptive families. This position encompasses the recruitment of families, the matching process, and ongoing support for a designated group of youth within the foster care system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with child welfare agency personnel to identify eligible youth for the program
  • Formulate recruitment strategies and conduct regular meetings with youth
  • Engage with caseworkers and family members to identify appropriate adoptive caregivers
  • Organize preplacement visits and offer continuous support to families once matched
  • Participate in training sessions provided by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption
  • Prepare and submit monthly data reports
Required Qualifications

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience in child welfare is preferred.

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities are essential.

Capability to foster relationships with diverse communities is required.

Basic computer literacy is necessary.

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
