Job Summary:

The Lead Barista Clerk/Barista is responsible for creating a exceptional customer experience at Bashas' by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and support all store rules and company policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health department, and weights and measures requirements to maintain a high level of quality and service.
  • Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-centric attitude and connecting with customers to understand their needs.
  • Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Bashas' and Starbucks.
  • Maintain a calm exterior presence during periods of high volume or unusual events to ensure a clean and comfortable store environment.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs to provide proactive support.
  • Follow Bashas' operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all members.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficient inventory management and product accessibility.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments to promote a positive work environment.
  • Assist with new member training by providing positive reinforcement and coaching as needed.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality to meet business needs.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills to provide a positive experience for customers.
  • Reliable transportation to ensure timely attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to pass a drug and/or background screen to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions and request clarification when needed.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a team to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with partners to promote a positive work environment.
  • Ability to bend and lift up to 50 pounds to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Exposure to various work environments that includes temperature changes to ensure adaptability.
