Associate Manager, Private Equity Accounting Specialist

SS&C is a leading global provider of investment and financial services and software for the financial services and healthcare industries. As an Associate Manager, Private Equity Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the Private Markets business management, new business development, and existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Support Team Development: Provide technical training and share fund knowledge to team members, promoting their growth and expertise.
- Client Deliverables: Review and ensure the accuracy of client deliverables, including quarterly financial statements, investment data, partner's capital allocations, fund net asset value, and applicable accrual bookings.
- Liaison and Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for book of business, working closely with external parties such as auditors, law firms, and tax advisors.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare, review, and maintain general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances for multiple fund clients, adhering to various accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP).
- New Client Onboarding: Run and/or assist the implementation, onboarding, and setup of new client entities.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of adequate and effective processes to enhance overall operations.
- Client Deliverable Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor the quality and timing of various client deliverables, according to operating memoranda/SLAs.
- Business and Client Metrics: Aggregate, maintain, and reconcile key business and client metrics.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds.
- Private Equity/Real Assets Experience: Private Equity/Real Assets experience, CPA designation, and/or MBA are pluses.
- Accounting Knowledge: Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive basis of accounting, with an emphasis on investment partnerships.
- Consolidated Financial Statements: Experience with Consolidated Financial Statements and Minority Interest.
- Time Management and Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to manage time effectively and multi-task between shifting priorities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills required.
