Private Equity Accounting Manager

Job Description: Associate Manager, Private Equity AccountingThe Associate Manager, Private Equity Accounting will play a key role in supporting the Private Markets Accounting team in a broad set of business activities. This includes participating in business management, new business development, and existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the growth and success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development of team members by providing technical training and sharing fund knowledge.
- Review client deliverables, including quarterly financial statements, investment data, partner's capital allocations, fund net asset value, and applicable accrual bookings.
- Act as the primary liaison for the book of business and work closely with external parties such as auditors, law firms, and tax advisors.
- Prepare, review, and maintain general ledgers, sub-ledgers, and trial balances for multiple fund clients, according to various accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP).
- Run and/or assist the implementation, onboarding, and setup of new client entities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of adequate and effective processes to improve the overall operations.
- Aggregation, maintenance, and reconciliation of key business and client metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 6+ years' experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds.
- Private Equity/Real Assets experience, CPA designation, and/or MBA are pluses.
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive basis of accounting, with an emphasis on investment partnerships.
- Experience with Consolidated Financial Statements and Minority Interest.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and multi-task between shifting priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel skills required.
