**Job Summary**

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consumer Protection Attorney to join our team. As an Assistant Attorney General, you will play a critical role in analyzing, investigating, and prosecuting suspected violations of consumer protection laws.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Analyze and manage complex enforcement cases, ensuring compliance with state and federal consumer protection statutes.
  • Investigate and prosecute suspected violations of consumer protection laws, working closely with state and federal agencies.
  • Provide legal advice to the Office of Charitable and Regulatory Programs, assisting in drafting official opinions and reviewing proposed legislation.
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other states and federal agencies to share best practices and coordinate enforcement efforts.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of litigation experience in state and federal courts, concentrating on consumer protection matters.
  • Admitted to the Virginia State Bar.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with state/federal government officials, a diverse workforce, and the general public.
