Position Summary:

The primary role of the Project Engineer Intern is to support the project team with various administrative and engineering tasks related to a specific construction initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Project Engineer Intern typically encompass, but are not limited to:

Technical Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up the job office.
  • Support the project team with the initial configuration of project management software.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation logs.
  • Help organize contract documents for team access.
  • Manage progress photo documentation.
  • Facilitate the entry and distribution of Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Maintain RFI logs and ensure accuracy in project documentation.
  • Update procurement logs and expedite material orders.
  • Collaborate with project engineers to compile closeout documents.
  • Participate in project meetings and assist in documenting minutes.
  • Organize closeout binders.

Management Responsibilities

  • Assist in procuring closeout submissions.
  • Help prepare and manage punch lists.
  • Support the maintenance of project schedules.
  • Facilitate the procurement of essential submissions.
  • Follow up with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
