Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Structures Superintendent to oversee our ongoing projects. This role is crucial for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the workforce engaged at various segment sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise assigned project tasks and facilitate communication between field engineering, estimating, and the workforce to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Plan work methodologies, material requirements, equipment needs, and schedules for project tasks.
  • Review daily work schedules with team members and adjust monthly schedules based on project feedback.
  • Understand project specifications to support job setup activities and collaborate with work crews, field engineers, and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on job sites.
  • Forecast work schedules to identify potential issues and provide technical or scheduling recommendations to address production challenges.
  • Offer technical insights to identify and mitigate project risks, including construction methods, work plans, material needs, safety, and scheduling activities.
  • Document daily activities and meeting notes using company-approved methods.
  • Present production work plans during initial project meetings to ensure alignment among all project crews and leaders.
  • Coordinate with internal equipment teams and external vendors to ensure project work is adequately equipped with necessary materials and equipment to meet budget and schedule requirements.
  • Ensure all mandated inspections are completed within the required timeframes by coordinating with internal and external departments.
  • Promote strict adherence to safety protocols and process controls related to equipment operation, worksite safety, and documentation requirements.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities and recommend adjustments to work schedules or methods as necessary.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities in accordance with company standards and owner checklist requirements.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree is a plus.

Experience:

  • Proven ability to manage complex construction projects with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to handle challenging schedules and project demands while maintaining adherence to safety programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Thorough understanding of construction site safety protocols and the ability to enforce safety programs.
  • Familiarity with local union or prevailing wage regulations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract-specific plans and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including data collection, fact establishment, and conclusion drawing.
